Aunty E, Adam gave me a fountain pen for my birthday, and suddenly writing is fun again. almost through my first cartridge of ink. not looking forward to filling it up….no that’s not accurate. not looking forward to cleaning up after filling it up.
Fountain pens are wonderful. I love how the ink slides over good quality paper, and I really like how they look in the pocket of a white shirt. I used to have one that had a little lever on the side that would draw ink into the reservoir – no need for cartridges. Unfortunately, it was lost – no doubt leapt to its freedom from the pocket of my white shirt.
I once handed a college exam in with only my name written on it.
Did you at least spell it right?
What – they’re expected to write something using a pen? How archaic – such a hardship.

If you bring it down this weekend, I’ll fill it for you.
Maybe you should write your wife another love letter with your new found love of writing.

Paul and I have twist converters. I’d like to get a lever one at some point but they tend to be pretty pricey.
I’m embarassed to admit, the pen was given to me by my mom, and I lost it. I miss it to this day.
You’ll have to hope that none of us tell Gramma. Also, maybe hope that she never reads Adam’s comics…
Although I would sincerely love to hear the spin Gramma would put on things. She likes to shake things up, you know.
