Ada Lovelace day is a day intended to honour women active in technology. Â I am going to take a slightly broad definition of technology and would like to honour my wife, Amy.Amy teaches high school chemistry, math and physics at a small private school in Ontario. Â She not only uses a computer in her day-to-day activities (particularly for power point presentation of notes in class), she’s also actively engaged in equipping young women for careers in science and technology driven fields. Â Several of her students have moved (many at her suggestion and all with her encouragement) into medicine (nursing particularly), lab tech and biology. Â She will probably be pretty embarrassed by this (as she is one of my four or so regular readers). Â She has been published in the British Journal of Nutrition.
