Amy and I made a trip to the library last week. I got Zero History by William Gibson. I highly recommend it, especially if you read Pattern Recognition and Spook Country. I really liked Gibson’s cyberpunk novels but I think he’s really come into his own with this latest trilogy. I also got At Home: A Short History of Private Life by Bill Bryson. It’s a book broadly about houses but really about the things that make modern life what it is and how they came to be the way they are. It’s a lot of very, very dull subject matter written in an engaging and easy to read way.
