It is amazing how much faster one can go with the proper equipment. Amy and I bought clipless pedals and new biking shoes and I got up to 42kph on a flat road. My bike had knobby tires on it and I was wearing heavy cargo shorts so I think I could probably go a good bit faster. Â The fastest I’ve gone so far this year is 53.7kph (twice). Â I’d like to break 60 just to say that I have but I was pretty sure I was inches from death both times I hit 53.
