Another list from Facebook

Step 1: Put your music player on shuffle.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Bold out the songs when someone guesses both artist and track correctly.
Step 4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
Step 5: If you like the game post your own!

Note: these are not actually the first 20.  I skipped over some instrumentals (Canon in D is hard to put lyrics to) and a bunch of songs that I don’t think anybody I know has ever heard of.  These are mostly pretty well known (and very Canada centric, no great surprise).

New Music Monday

Salutations from Family Day!  Thank you, Government of Ontario.

I’d like to take the opportunity today to introduce you to a friend of mine, one Jacob V. Kovak.  He’s one of my imaginary friends (in that I have never actually met him).  He’s at school in Salt Lake City, Utah, and he plays the guitar.  He has put together a few recordings that I want to share with you.  I really like the tone and the way he puts some of his stuff together.  He’s still quite young and shows, I think, a lot of promise.  Video/audio after the break.
